Alex taught himself building techniques including slipform wall building which is quick and reliable.<\/li><li>He has an energy control system that captures solar energy; this also includes a backup generator with batteries, a charger, and an inverter.<\/li><li>He also has an outdoor bathtub; a fire is made under the tub to heat the water.<\/li><li>He has also converted an excess water tank into a swimming pool.<\/li><li>A Green Tap warm compost system separates food and water from kitchen waste. The food waste is turned into compost which you can put on your garden in just 6 months.\u00a0<\/li><li>He uses a composite toilet which reduces water usage and facilitates the growth of non-edible plants around his home area from the compost produced.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><p><strong>Community Living<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Carsten Sundby Nielson, a resident and a co-founder of the Belbunya community, says that community living is about modeling sustainable living and caring for humanity. Community awareness and core values have helped the community thrive since it was established in 2009.<\/li><li>Another example of sustainable living is the WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms), a worldwide work exchange network.<\/li><\/ul><p>These programs help participants to envision living sustainably, like Andrew Schonfeldt, a PDC student from Australia, who aims to live peacefully whilst respecting the environment; he hopes the rest of the world can do that too.<\/p><p><strong>Visions<\/strong><\/p><p>Kenton Zerbin envisions that humans can live sustainably as a part of the
