Our Objectives

My Eco Best Friend aims to make sustainable choices easier to access, easier to trust and more engaging in everyday life. By helping users discover environmentally responsible products and services in their region, the project supports both local businesses and environmental protection.

It also encourages more informed decisions through a reliable eco-evaluation approach, giving users the opportunity to better understand and even assess the environmental value of products themselves.

My Eco Best Friend is officially recognised as a public-benefit organisation by the Swiss Confederation. This recognition reflects the seriousness of our commitment and the value of our work, while also allowing donors to benefit from tax-deductible donations.

Education

Education is a central pillar of My Eco Best Friend’s work. Through workshops, educational programmes and practical learning pathways, the association helps children, citizens and professionals adopt more sustainable habits and make more informed choices.
By promoting green skills, eco-responsible behaviour and accessible environmental learning, My Eco Best Friend supports both everyday action and longer-term transitions towards sustainability.

Collaboration & Eco-Platform

My Eco Best Friend fosters synergies across Western Switzerland by connecting individuals, communities and organisations through a shared digital platform. By bringing together resources, initiatives, events and responsible actors, the platform makes sustainability easier to access, understand and put into practice.

Through this collaborative ecosystem, My Eco Best Friend encourages learning, participation and local engagement while helping generate positive environmental and social impact.

Sustainability Guidance (Consulting)

My Eco Best Friend supports municipalities, SMEs, events and community initiatives in their ecological transition through practical and accessible sustainability guidance. The aim is to help organisations move towards more responsible practices and make concrete progress aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
This work helps turn sustainability intentions into structured action, adapted to local realities and long-term impact.

Social Cohesion

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

My Eco Best Friend is committed to supporting several Sustainable Development Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda. We actively work to reduce our environmental impact and promote more sustainable practices. We also support SMEs and municipalities in developing sustainability strategies within their organisations, helping them move towards more responsible and lasting ways of operating.

ISO 14001

My Eco Best Friend has implemented an Environmental Management System within its organisation and aims to work towards ISO 14001 certification. We also support SMEs and municipalities in setting up their own Environmental Management Systems to help them move towards this internationally recognised certification.
